Description

The original Pertinax board used in hot foil stamping and embossing. A very rigid and durable makeready sheet which offers crisp and sharp results and generally prevents show through of the image on your substrate. Pertinax is also a great heat resistant material which helps prevent heat transfer from the die to the cold makeready side of your machine, which helps to maintain temperature. Also commonly used as a counter board material when creating your own cutting forms and in conjunction with Pragotherm 800 for male counter force production. The original Pertinax is not flexible enough for use on cylinder machines, which is why Profoil offers a unique cloth impregnated flexible phenolic board alternative for this machine type.
